Levi Jones of Wright City and Brayden Stovall of Battiest became the first two of the current recruiting cycle to sign with the Carl Albert State College Vikings.

The two McCurtain County runners finished five spots apart from one another during the 2022 2A state meet. Stoval finished 26 with a time of 18:03.06, while Jones finished 31 in 18:10.85.

Stovall has run since grade 8 and holds a p.r. of 17:40. His p.r. was run at state last year where he finished 16.  In 2020 he placed 10, while crossing the finish line at 58 in 2019.

Jones previously finished as the state runner up as a freshman in 2019, with a time of 17:22.
