Coach Jake Lords enters his 2nd year as Wrestling Coach and Athletic Director for Carl Albert State College. Coach Lords hails from Rexburg, Idaho, attended Chadron State College where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, then earned a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Minnesota State University Moorhead. Lords will be leaving his MSUM position as Head Assistant Coach, since 2019-2020, and he also spent six years as the head wrestling coach at Madison High School in Rexburg.  While at Madison HS, Lords coached more than 65 state qualifiers and 16 state place winners, including a state champion and two state finalists.  As a high school wrestler in Idaho he placed third in the state three times.  Coach Lords served on the Idaho High School Wrestling Coaches Association committee to help sanction women’s wrestling, as well as served as Vice Chair on the Board of Directors for USA Idaho Wrestling.
