We divided our efforts this weekend! The women's team went north to Doane University in Crete, NE for the Doane/Oppenheimer Open. We had 6 girls compete, and everyone wrestled hard, competed well, and got better! 2 of our women made the finals with Ana Barnoski placing 2nd and Lexi Miller placing 1st! Lexi beat the NJCAA #5 and #1 ranked girls on her way to the gold medal. Ana lived up to her #4 ranking by taking out the #6 ranked woman on her way to a silver medal.
Our men's squad was in Springfield, MO at the Drury Open. We had a smaller contingency competing due to so many duals upcoming, but the guys wrestled hard and competed great as well. Austin Blair placed 6th making his college wrestling debut!
We are at home Tuesday against Neosho County Community College. Action begins at 7pm, come check it out!
