I am Charlie Taylor and I'm majoring in Business Administration. I am also a Scholar here at Carl Albert. I am from Greenwood, Arkansas and attended Greenwood High School. Throughout my high school career I only played softball. In softball I was a four-year varsity starter, 5A West All Conference, 5A West Second Team, 1x runner-up, and Sophomore/Junior All Star game. I was involved in the National Junior Honors Society and National Honor Society. Ronnie Sockey was my high school coach until my senior year. He pushed me everyday and every second of practice. He is one of the reasons I am playing in college now. Craig Jones and Tracey Chapple were both my hitting coaches throughout my career, they were the best supporters and really helped me on my hitting and taught me so many things, and my dad and mom were both of my biggest supporters. They both pushed me to be the best I can be on and off the field. All of these people have had such a huge impact on me, my career and my family. They are the reason I am so hard on myself because I know my potential. They have all seen it and pushed for it to shine. My favorite quote is, “Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard.” by Tim Notke. Some fun facts about me: I love my three dogs; Bear, Poppie and Lucy. My favorite season is the fall. I love to watch any crime movie or show, but I couldn’t tell you what my favorite is because I have so many to choose from. My favorite colors are black, gray or white. And my favorite food is barbeque or hibachi.
