I am Tessa York and I am majoring in accounting. My hometown is in Hydro, Oklahoma, as well as my high school, Hydro-Eakly Public School. Throughout my highschool career I played basketball, and slow and fast pitch softball. In basketball, I was on a back-to-back state champion team and one runner-up. I also received six state academic champion awards. I was very involved in FFA where I participated in proficiencies. I won state in Beef Production three years, and even went to Nationals as a top four finalist in 2022. I was very involved in high school associations. I was the National Honor Society Vice President, as well as the Student Council President. I also graduated highschool as the Class of 2023 Salutatorian. Jeremy Tharp was my basketball coach throughout junior high and high school. He was also my junior high softball coach. He always pushed me to be the best athlete/version of myself. He showed me what hard work is and what the outcome will be with God by my side. My favorite verse says, “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord.” -Colossians 3:23. Some fun facts about me: I love my dogs Hixx and Harlo, my favorite season is summer, I love the series Vampire Diaries, my favorite color is baby blue, and my favorite food is steak.
