CARL ALBERT STATE COLLEGE WOMEN’S CROSS COUNTRY TEAM TRIUMPHS AT BUCKS SEASON OPEN RACE

The Carl Albert State College Women's Cross Country Team achieved a remarkable feat at the Bucks Season Open XC Race in Mena, AR on Saturday. Despite the scorching conditions and hilly terrain, the team emerged victorious with an impressive first place finish. Calli Connally was the star of the show.  Through sheer grit and determination, she led her team to victory with a time of 22:23 and claimed first place in her very first cross country meet as a Viking. Jacie Moffett followed closely behind in second place with a time of 22:33, while Lin Lee secured fifth place. This momentous accomplishment is only the beginning for the Carl Albert Women's Cross Country Team, whose members are ready to bring their indomitable spirit to future competitions.

"Calli's triumphant victory not only marked a personal milestone but also set the stage for a promising season ahead," said Coach Kristin Snyder.  "She inspired her teammates and showcased the indomitable spirit of a female athlete in the world of cross country running."
