Kristin Snyder, an avid runner for the past 15 years, enters her 1st year as CASC XC Coach. She has run 5k’s, half marathons, full marathons, 25k’s, 50k’s, and even completed a 50 miler in the Grand Canyon Rim to Rim to Rim! She has qualified for the Boston Marathon 3 times and competed in the Boston Marathon twice. Kristin has spent many hours on the road and trail. She knows how to create a detailed and obtainable training plan and she has the perseverance to reach the goals she sets. This is what she will do for the runners at CASC. She will inspire them to set goals and develop the small steps that will get them to accomplish the lofty goals. We can hit the target if we know what to aim at. It takes the perseverance and day in and day out training to get the results you want.

Kristin has earned her Bachelors in Education from NSU  and has earned her Masters in School Counseling from ECU. She spent the first 10 years of her career teaching in Poteau Public Schools. She has spent the last 5 years teaching psychology and sociology classes on the Carl Albert campus. She loves to inspire her students to see the physical and psychological health that can come from a good steady cardio workout on a consistent basis. Running can create endorphins, improve your mood, increase your memory, improve neurogenesis, and it can even be a great therapy tool.
